Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be streamed live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the pair met personally to build hype for next month's boxing match.
Ex two time world heavyweight champion Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge disparity - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I will break his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
In spite of these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically known for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.
"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.
Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He lost to Briton Fury in last year.
Financial Success
Still, the novice remains one of boxing's largest money-making draws, consistently making huge paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and stated he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.
Physical Disparity
As both boxers met for the usual stare-down, with their size difference evident, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is truly going ahead.
